Japanese Candy That Doesn’t Taste Like Crap

I’m lost for words… The other day I met up with a friend of mine who’d just come back from a trip to Osaka. He said he brought back a pressie that I would just LOVE. Yay! So, I was rubbing my hands in anticipation when he produced a box of sweet. On the box, there was a big friendly looking Manga character that was actually a smiling poo…
And here it is. The smiling poo is right in front of me as I write this. On the garish red background it says “Unchi Kun Gumi”, which translates roughly “Mr Poo Poo Gummy”. Inside individual blister pack there is something soft and dark brown. Apparently it is Cola flavour. I opened one and, yes, it smells very artificially like cola and it tastes like… cola.
This is what the candy inside actually looks like. It REALLY looks like a piece of… YUCK!!!
It goes without saying that the whole box of them are still hidden deep inside my desk drawer. Sorry mate, if you are reading this post.
