Convenience of a bottled water in a can?
published in: Japanglish
Japan is one of the most earthquake-prone countries in the world, perched on top of several converging tectonic plates. Every time earthquakes strike they are a reminder to the country’s capital, Tokyo, that it is long overdue “a Big One”.
In such an emergency, the most important thing for your survival is the drinking water – but wait, should it be in a bottle or in a can?
Few years ago a company in Shizuoka, Japan has come up with an ingenious idea – Canned Bottled Water!

The Japanese writing on this simple and elegant package just says “Disaster Emergency Potable Water”. No nonsense. Just does the job.
I shouldn’t be making fun of such an important product but it’s funny nevertheless. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who find it funny, as this is now replaced with a new product called “Rescue Water”.

Now, this is a huge improvement. It is now in a can that is shaped like a bottle!
